Prompt & demand intelligence

Track the prompts your customers actually ask

AI prompt tracking is monitoring a chosen set of questions across AI engines over time. Answerly helps you build that set from real demand — Google Search Console queries and Serpstat clusters — deduplicate it without losing intent coverage, and track it across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews (Google AI Mode is in progress). with the raw answers stored for each run.

The prompt set decides the answer

Every visibility number you report is conditional on the questions you chose. A set built from guesses produces confident metrics about demand that does not exist. Getting the set right is the highest-leverage step in the whole process, and it is the one most often skipped.

From search queries to prompts

Real demand lives in Search Console. Answerly turns your query clusters into representative prompts — recommendation, comparison and problem phrasings — so you track what customers plausibly ask an assistant, derived from what they already search for.

Cover intent, not duplicates

A hundred near-identical prompts waste runs and blur the signal. A good set covers branded and non-branded, recommendation, comparison and problem intents, with duplicates pruned — coverage of distinct intents beats raw prompt count every time.

Branded and non-branded, kept apart

A prompt naming your brand measures how the model describes you. A prompt that does not measures whether it thinks of you at all. Mixing the two inflates mention rate and hides the harder problem, so they are reported separately.

How many runs a prompt needs

Enough that the margin of error is small enough to decide on. Because Answerly always shows n, you can see when a prompt is under-sampled instead of reading a rate that looks precise and is not.

Grounded briefs from the gaps

For prompts where you are invisible, Answerly generates content briefs grounded in the live top-10 SERP for that query, so the page you build targets what already gets cited rather than a generic outline.

FAQ

How do I choose prompts for AI visibility tracking?

Start from real demand (Search Console + Serpstat), cover recommendation, comparison and problem intents, keep branded and non-branded separate, and prune duplicates. Answerly automates the discovery and dedup.

Can Answerly turn Search Console queries into prompts?

Yes — connect Google Search Console and Answerly clusters your real queries into prompt candidates you can track across engines.

How many prompts should I track?

Enough to cover your core intents with a sample size that yields a usable margin of error, not hundreds of duplicates. Quality of coverage beats raw count.

Should branded prompts be tracked separately?

Yes. Branded prompts measure how AI describes you; non-branded prompts measure whether it recommends you at all. Blending them overstates your visibility.
